Liam at the Petting Zoo

Liam loves animals (especially our cat) and was thrilled that he could pet the farm animals at the Dairy Congress in Leduc. Aunty Elyse was kind enough to show him how it's done...

Happy Father's Day, Nialle!

Daddy and Liam have been best of buds from the beginning...

Liam and dad like a lot of the same things.

They like to take naps...

They like to eat...

They like to hang out together...

They like each other's fashion sense...
(Liam is wearing one of Nialle's old outfits here)

Nialle, you're a great dad! It's been wonderful watching you and Liam grow together! Liam and I hope you had a great father's day.

Thanks for all the hard work you do, Nialle. You've succeeded at every challenge that you've faced as a father.

Here's a pic of Nialle facing his greatest challenge yet - poop in the tub!

Vacation in the Rockies

Ahhh, we're back from a relaxing time in Canmore. Canmore was where Nialle and I got married, so it's always a real treat to go back.

Liam was thrilled because he got to spend every day posing for the camera and snuggling with the fam...

Nialle and I were thrilled because we got to go out on our own a few times!

Liam got the sniffles on the trip...

...but that didn't stop him from being goofy.

One night, Nialle and I were so desperate to get our sniffly little Liam to sleep that we piled into the car in our pajamas hoping the motion of the vehicle would send 'The Dude' off to dream land. While driving around Canmore at 12:30am, we happened to drive past the inn where we got married. We could see that there was another wedding going on, which made us start to talk about our own special day.

Then we laughed and thought how funny it would be funny to crash the wedding in our pajamas and tell the bride and groom that four years from now they too might be driving around bleary eyed, frazzled and grouchy trying to get their baby to sleep.

And now to close -
what's a vacation without some family photos?

Knittin' in The Rockies

In my opinion, a vacation is not a vacation unless you get some knitting done...

Voila! A nice, masculine scarf...but I can't tell you who it's for (they'll have to find out at Christmas!)
